The Home Guard Get Trained in Basic First Aid

A very successful afternoon training in First Aid was held at the Scout Hut, Crays Pond on 17th March when Redline Home Guard members were put through their paces by two staff from the St. Johns Ambulance.

Training included, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the safe use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED), application and use of dressings for major wounds and the preparation and use of various arm slings.

The session was thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees. Thanks to Julia and Tracey from the St. Johns Ambulance, who were very informative and also appeared to enjoy themselves.

Further First Aid training sessions with the trainers are to be arranged for later in the year
