Cpl Tierney and Pte Gleave headed the guard of honour armed with p14 rifles and demonstrated ceremonial drill throughout the service which was praised by many participants.

2/Lt Chambers representing the group paid our respects to those brave souls 80 years ago by laying a wreath at the stone as part of the service.

The day was very well attended with Guest of Honour Lt Gen Harrison, Col Commandant of the Parachute Regiment, and the President of the Parachute Regiment Association leading the memorial to those brave servicemen 80 years ago.
