On Sunday 9th June a two-man detachment formed a mobile patrol at the Stoke Row Rally. Cycling down from Woodcote HQ to the rally site, Sgt Quigley and Pte Gleave were tasked with keeping a watch for enemy paratroopers, staying vigilant to fifth columnist activities and providing the reassuring presence of the home guard to all those enjoying the event.
Highlights of the day include taking part in a parade of military vehicles around the arena and leading a parade of multi-era reenactment groups.
The bicycle patrol drew much attention and proved to be a great addition to the group’s display.
